Quality of album reviews

Another utterly pointless TiVo review for Al Stewart"s 1984, Russians and Americans. Three lines, nothing about the music itself just a complaint that the artist, “…takes a political position,” what utter twaddle. This type of rubbish indicates to me that Tivo may not be the best source for Roon’s reviews.

I love the album reviews and am disappointed when an album does not have one. In fact, often when I read a negative review of something I have not heard before, if it is thorough enough, I can glean enough form the review to know I will love the album. I just have to put my own filter on the review.

I have also used reviews to understand how an artist I am unfamiliar with has evolved from album to album so I can put the artist’s music in context or know where to start in becoming familiar with the artist.

I find the reviews a very compelling feature of Roon.
