Just got my ifi go and plugged in to my Samsung s20. I have the USB driver enabled in settings in arc. Interestingly, the sound volume is much lower when I enable the USB driver compared to when I am not with Ifi Go. Would anyone know any possible reason for that?

The usb driver is a BETA option so I would expect some bumps. For example, it doesn’t play to any of my usb dacs when I plug them in.
Just got an iFi GO Link. Testing it with a Samsung Galaxy S23 and I have the same issue with awful volume control. Not smooth at all and the volume jumps very high at some point. It would be nice to get better support.
Is there any chance to get a refined volume handling here? Is it on the ARC driver side or on the iFi DAC?
Or are we supposed to get lucky with our USB-C DAC choice?

I get smooth volume handling with the Tidal app. I’d rather use the ARC to access my library too but, I’m not willing to sacrifice my hearing.
There is a new firmware last week for the iFi Go Max that solved the volume issues for me using an iPhone. Perhaps that same firmware is available for the go Link product as well. JCR
Thank you. Yes, I’ve checked that out but there’s no update for iFi GO Link. I’m checking their site regularly.
And it’s not seem to be an issue with the iFi hardware. I don’t have any issues with the Tidal app on android, or on macOS, etc. It seems to be with the ARC beta USB driver.
Are there any iFi people here to escalate it somehow? Maybe @Jake_iFi ?
