The remote connection obviously gets lost as soon as I pull the cable. Music continues to play for about 5 minutes until it stops on its own.
Update
I solved the playback issue by giving both the Roon ROCK and Auralic Aries a static ip outside my DHCP range. Pulling the ethernet cable now results in continuous playback without errors.
