Radio France stations are broken

Hi,
I’m a user of Roon for about 18 months. So far so good, even on a NAS.
My main problem: I lost the use of the high quality stream of FIP, which used to work properly. I won’t explain why it’s the best radio station in the world (I invite anyone to try and understand why), but it’s an immense loss for my daily usage of Roon.
I think the radio stream AAC 192 kbps broke 1-2 months ago. The MP3 128 kbps is working but very low quality. I tried 2 others streams from Radio France that are also broken in high quality.
Can you update the links of the stream to make it work again?
Not sure which link should be used but this one works:

Hello @Antoine-in-mountains and welcome to live radio.

I am not sure what is going on here, the aac stream for FIP works for me. The URL you posted is the same (apart from being http rather than https) as that used by Roon.

You say you are using a NAS - I wonder if you are having the ffmpeg issue that can arise with Synology or QNAP, concerning aac streams. Can you play CJSW which is an aac station to check please?

If you do have the problem, there are a number of threads about this, see

Hi @BrianW !
Thanks for the fast reply!
I’m using a Synology NAS. I just followed the instructions from https://roononnas.org/en/synology-dsm7/ and added the ffmpeg drivers as explained (very easy to do). Now it works again!
This is strange that the AAC 192 kbps used to work and it’s not the case anymore.
I see a package called “Advanced Media Extensions” that adds codecs for HEVC and AAC. It must have been added by Synology previously and broke the compatibility.
Back to loving Roon!
Hope my post will help someone in the future.

Next step: installing a SSD to move the install and library of Roon.
