Radio Paradise Album Cover and track skipping

:joy: Are you still enjoying using your blackberry too, or perhaps your Nokia 6210?

Completely agree. Roon is very good, but with some things very slow to move. I guess there are good reasons, mostly. But I can’t figure out the hesitation on Radio Paradise.
Here’s the functionality I absolutely love on Radio Paradise that’s available on most other platforms…

  1. Metadata and Artwork
  2. Click to search and add track on Tidal (or other service)
  3. Track Skipping - can’t understand why anyone would want to sit through a song they aren’t in the mood for or don’t like much (mind you, RP’s selections are often close to my taste I don’t skip much, but sometimes its nice even to skip songs I like when I’m looking for inspiration).
  4. Song Ratings
  5. Favourites - for when you only want to listen to the RP tracks you’ve rated high

There is more, but these are my favourite functions.

Has anyone had any dialogue with Radio Paradise about Roon support?

I think this no longer depends on Radio Paradise, but on Roon, so much so that WiiM implemented this directly and it works very well. Now, moving within the Roon platform is up to them.

I imagine that at some point Roon will take another direction, due to the acquisition made by Samsung. There are several brands involved that will put pressure on Roon, such as Harman and other audio companies that are within the Samsung group.

That’s a depressing thought, but why would Harman / Samsung and other brands try to restrict things like listening to internet radio stations and suchlike?

Here are a couple of great tracks I discovered through Radio Paradise today…

Love Radio Paradise

Sorry, I don’t think I explained it well. What I meant was that with the acquisition of Roon by Harman and it being a Samsung company, I believe their idea is to expand even further, the pressure I mean is to make more and more devices work well with Roon, especially considering the extensive line that Samsung has.
