Hi @Jacques_Distler, thanks for the links. Unfortunately, Roon currently does not make use of these associated metadata streams.

I know that you have raised a feature request for Roon to do so; Roon monitors such requests and evaluates them together with others.

I guess I misunderstood the description of what was implemented in Build 521. Do I understand correctly, that now Roon (only) accesses the in-band metadata in Icecast streams?

Hi Jacques, this is my understanding, not all stations do this unfortunately. I do miss the metadata on FIP, supporting yoru feature request 100% !

Hi Jacques, this is my understanding, not all stations do this unfortunately.

1. Not all stations use Icecast.
2. Even among those that do, not all stations embed in-band metadata in the Icecast stream. (FIP, I believe, is an example.)

So this is a good start, but is still rather limited.
