Just setup a RPi 5 via lan cable to network. Roon doesnt see the Pi5. Anyway to add a netwok device via IP 192. etc.
The Pi5 does show on network scan and does Tunein ok.
Does it have a dac or hat connected to it?

Running Picoreplayer 9.0. Allo Digione Sig HAT.
Roon does not support Squeezelite, which Picoreplayer utilizes, if that’s what you’re trying to connect with.
Is there are reason to stick with PiCorePlayer?
Otherwise maybe just switch to a Audio OS that’s known to work with Roon like Ropieee, which now supports the Pi5.

My guess is, it’s the VU-meters …
The vus don’t work with Roon nor does now playing so unlikely that . More reasons to use it if you also still run LMS. I use picore player and it works fine with Roon. Not seeing it has nothing to do with not supporting squeezelite it’s a pure discovery issue not a playback issue.
Are you running LMS on the local network as well and have you enabled squeezebox streaming? You can’t run LMS and Roon at same time if using Squeezebox streaming as they interfere with each other.
