As a overloaded music lover
I want to be able to set the scope and criteria of my playlists
So that stay in controle without spending time on creating playlists.

Example; 3 from 1
I want to play exactly 3 tracks per artist before randomly jumping to the next artist and play 3 tracks select based on criteria

Scope: Artists (based on criteria)
Shuffle: Artists defined in Scope
Play setting: randomly play minimum of 3 tracks, maximum 3 (criteria; favorite, never played etc) tracks before jumping to next artist.

Example; Album Shuffle
I want to play exactly 1 album per (selected) artist before randomly jumping to the next album
Scope: Artists (based on criteria)
Shuffle: Albums
Play setting: randomly play maximum of 1 (criteria; all favorites, never played etc) album before jumping to next artist

So you should define how to play tracks and how to play albums and how to play artists
Artist Setting: Randomly, Library Order, Selection (based on conditions) + Define min. max number of artist
Albums Setting: Randomly from Artist Setting, Library Order, Selection (based on conditions) + Define min. max number of albums
Tracks: Randomly, Album order + Define min. max number of tracks

I just have to say…I love that this is in the form of a User Story. But, yes, as @Suedkiez says, this should be in Feature Suggestions.

I think there should be a user friendly way to controle the way you play music. set the scope first, decide how to play albums and tracks within album, and option to limit the number of albums/tracks:

Define the set of artists to play (all or selected)
Define set of albums (all, or selected),
Define order to play albums (Random or Per Artist],
Define Number of Albums per artist (all or selected and/or min/max),
Define order to play tracks; (all source order], (all or selected and/or min/max)

Resulting in a play option like;
Artist included in scope: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Blur
Albums included in scope: all albums per artist, available in library
Play albums: randomly pick max of 3 albums per artist
Play tracks within albums: randomly and max of 3 per album
