Hi, I updated my Raspberry Pi3B with an Allo HAT yesterday to 2024.10 and it lost the ability to do AirPlay. It simply wasn’t showing up as an AirPlay destination from any of my devices.
This morning I tried toggling the force AirPlay 1 switch, configuring and Rebooting and that brought it back, I was then able to toggle the switch back again, configure and reboot and get back to Airplay 2 working correctly as before.
I think this is the first time in several years that I’ve had any glitches with an update. I’ve had the occasional problem where AirPlay doesn’t work (which is what I thought was happening after the update) but that usually cures itself by going back to using Roon, stopping roon and then trying to AirPlay again, but that didn’t work this time.
Thanks for a fantastic product. Ropieee works far better with my little Raspberry 3b and my Allo Hat than my much more expensive Project Stream Box which has a tailored Volumio version on it which requires manually switching for Airplay and then doesn’t have much in the way of volume controls.
First off, thanks @spockfish !!! I’ve used Ropieee for years and absolutely love it! This is my first time having any real issue with an update. Great software, usually rock solid, wouldn’t trade it for anything.
This afternoon I updated my USBridge Sig and now I’m having playback issues on my WooAudio Phantom DAC. Update appears successful. I can navigate to the USBridge/Ropieee device via my web browser, but it’s not detecting the Phantom DAC. When I plug in my Schiit Yggy DAC the USBridge/Ropieee detects it and plays music with no problem. And when I plug the Phantom DAC into my laptop it detects it with no problem as well.
Is it possible with the latest update that something happened to the ability to deliver enough power to a USB DAC? (Sounds like a stretch, but I can’t think of a better explanation.)
Here’s my feedback identifier:

Thanks for any help you can provide
[edit] one additional data point - I just switched back to my RPi4 w/ Ropieee and it’s working just fine with the Phantom DAC.
I think I have a feature request (unless it’s a bug, but I doubt it).
Yesterday I accidentally set the volume of my zone to 100% after missing the volume plus and hitting the top of the slider. I have set a soft limit in Roon, but it seems this doesn’t reflect in the ropieee display.
Is it possible to set the slider to only cover the soft limit (60%) to prevent this type of accident?
