Removing an album from library also makes tracks unavailable in playlists

This is really annoying, but I want to be able to save albums in my library to later go in and select which tracks I want in my playlist. After that I want to remove the album so I know it’s been processed. That leads to the track being marked as “Unavailable” in the playlist however, I guess Roon was linking it from my Album library. Why cant it understand that it comes from Qobuz?

You are adding a cloned album to your library, it no longer points directly to the streaming version.
One way round this is to add the streaming albums to a “look at later” playlist, do your pruning in that playlist and then add the edited tracks to your library, or add them to another playlist.

Yes, that would be one way to do it.

The in library not in library dates back to the sooloos design which was Roon’s parent. It was designed before there was streaming.
It causes a number of issues but is how Roon’s fundamentals work so would, possibly, need a rewrite of everything.

You could create a tag for “looked at” and add the albums you are done with to the tag, then turn it with the tag toggle and then invert it so it filters out the “looked at” tag.

I am on the same boat … but since this really appears to be Roon fundamentals I would rather not want them to rewrite it as it may mess other things I like about Roon (and there is many of those) What I am using now is hiding those albums I don’t want to show up any more (on album select Edit, then ‘Hide this album’).
