The Roon remote app repeatedly crashes until iPhone is rebooted. Whilst this happens fairly regularly and has been a consistent bug/iOS issue for over 12 months (for me), I haven’t figured out a way to reproduce it at will. But once it begins to crash, it keeps doing so until phone reboot.
The behaviour is odd. The Roon app loads and runs normally for approximately 25 seconds before crashing out - the app doesn’t freeze, rather it disappears from screen. It’s still visible in the app switcher (as if it’s still running) but needs to relaunch. The phone noticeably increases in temperature during repeated relaunch and crash.
This bug has been consistent through various iOS version upgrades and pre and post Roon 1.8 update.
Is anybody else experiencing this with Roon for iOS on iPhone?
I am currently running an iPhone 12 Pro but it was also happening on my iPhone X.
