Repurpose Bluesound Node 2i as Roon Core

Hi all,

I would like to know if it might be possible to replace BlueOS on the Bluesound Node 2i with something else (Linux / Windows / MacOS / or even keep BlueOS??) and install Roon natively.

I don’t really use the native software and would prefer to try this option before moving on to another server.

Has anyone tried this?

Nice thinking, but it remains with that.

The Bluesound Node 2i is a purpose build audio device with an ARM® CORTEX™ A9 processor.
This processor is not supported by Roon and even if it was, it is doubtful that tinkering would bring a Roon Core on the 2i to life.

Sell it and buy a Mac Mini or a NUC and install a supported OS on that :nerd_face:
