[Resolved in #1665]Roon 2.70 Build 1663 and ARC 1.80 Build 415: Multiply track count played in ARC

I don’t know if this issue is related to the one already reported here

B1663/B415 Roon and ARC severe performance problem

but with the new build there is a multiplication of tracks played in ARC (actually it was played only once):

With improvements in previous builds related to LastFm and Listenbrainz, this problem was practically solved, so this behavior is definitely a consequence of this build.

Update: Every time I open the ARC app, a new row (playcount +1) is added to the history with the last played track

Thanks @Daniele_Piancastelli, for the report! Do you mean calling ARC to the foreground, after it was in the background for a while? Locking - unlocking the screen or switching to other apps? ARC restart didn’t fix the issue?

Exactly.

Reopening, restarting generates new lines.

Bringing it back to the foreground from the background doesn’t seem to generate new lines (perhaps because it doesn’t refresh?)

If I delete these lines from Roon’s History, the first time I reopen ARC, they’ll be generated again.

This is the screen after deleting these duplicate tracks from the history.

And this is the result after reopening ARC:

And if I close and reopen ARC, more duplicate lines are added to the list

I can replicate this behavior at any time.

Thanks for sharing this! We’re actively investigating!

@Daniele_Piancastelli - can you let us know if you are still experiencing this on 1665 and can you please use the most recent ARC EA build (it might be an incompatibility) - also can you confirm version numbers of the Remote, Server, and ARC, please (and thank you!)

From the first tests I did after updating to B1665 It seems to be fixed. All the operations that previously generated multiplied rows no longer do so. I’ll keep checking, though.

I can confirm that the problem was with the B1663 (server and remote) and the B145 of ARC. Now I have B1665 on the server, 1663 on the remotes and 145 on ARC
