I wantet to flag this post, but answer here, this really is inapropriate for me, saying that he is better of in death than life.
Believe what you want, but this….

Chill, it’s just an expression like so many, expressing hope (with many possible connotations) in death. When you say “rest in peace” they don’t necessarily have rest or peace either
