ROCK 2.1 only on UEFI build?

I set up my NUC ROCK in 2018, at which time only the legacy build of ROCK was available. I currently have ROCK version 1.0 build 259. Now it seems the new Roon OS 2.1 is UEFI build only, does it also update my ROCK? Or should I update the OS to UEFI build for this to happen? It has not been automatically updated yet.

This update is available for ROCK users running the UEFI build as well as for Nucleus One and Nucleus Titan users.

So you’d have to reinstall ROCK with the NUC set to UEFI.

However, the only practical difference is the Tailscale support. If you need this right now, your only option is reinstalling. However, it may well come to BIOS installations later:
