Hi experts,
Merry Christmas and happy new year!!
I am re-installing into a NUC8 rock as after a small problem I had to replace the electricity plug into the NUC and the old config was gone, this is already strange, but after the repeat the NUC could only start in window even forcing the boot from the BIOS. So I decided to do a new installation.
Doing it I got at the point of the image below with an error , can anyone help me please explaining what’s happened and if I can do something to solve it?
Thank you!
The message means that there is no OS on the drive. You should try reinstalling Roon OS using a newly downloaded image on a fresh USB pendrive.
Can you expand on this further?
The error post suggests a few causes, but coupled with the above about you doing something could point to a failed NMVe if the original install has ‘gone’.
After you pressed 1) for new installation did you get to the next choice of where to install it, which drive?
Hi,
this is the first thing I tried too, but no luck same error.
Hi Mr.Flibble,
thanks for helping.
After pressing 1) I chose the ssd drive, the installation went to an end, but at the reboot I got the error message.
Happy new year
The NUC8 will be set to legacy boot by default, so you’ll need to change this to UEFI in the BIOS settings (the latest version on Roon OS supports UEFI whereas earlier versions used legacy boot.)
