ROCK NUC using large amount of download data

Just checking as a New user my ROCK NUC now uses up about 9 Gig of data per day over internet after reasonable use of endpoint listening. Think this amount of data would normally flow through my Naim Atom device but now all seems to go through NUC, with Naim Atom only using few Meg of data.

Is that how this works all data goes through the NUC rather than endpoint device itself, clearly sounds comes out of device.

Interested to hear thoughts, make sure my set-up is correct.

Pretty much. The server is just that. It will serve up all music sources. Local and subscriptions.
Then your “endpoint” acts as a local client.
I upsample from my server to the endpoints so my internal bandwidth usage is MUCH greater. as I would expect.
