This week’s release includes a major enhancement to Roon’s display of information about the currently-playing track. The graphical treatment of the Now Playing screen in Roon has been refined and enhanced to make better use of the imagery sourced through the Art Director. Additionally, the Web Display and Chromecast functionality has been completely re-designed and is now much more consistent with the rest of Roon 1.8.
We’ve also made a number of additional enhancements to scrolling behavior on mobile devices. Users should now experience scrolling behavior in Roon that is much more consistent with other apps.
The team is also continuing its work on refining Roon’s search capabilities and behavior. This week we are including changes which improve the quality of results when a user searches on part of a complete name (e.g. given name or surname). Our internal testing shows much more sensible behavior, especially when using instant search.

Roon 1.8 (Build 923) Release Notes
Roon Build 923 is now rolling out for macOS, Windows, Windows (64 Bit), Roon OS, and Linux.
Updated versions of Roon for Android and iOS have been submitted to their respective App Stores and will be available soon.
There is no update for Roon Bridge at this time.
All platforms and apps should update automatically.

- Fixed absence of certain play actions on playlist and daily mix pages
- Fixed inactive “Device info” link on Zone Settings pop-up
- Removed incorrectly displayed bit-depth info for lossy codecs
