Hello Everyone,
As we prepare to release our metadata localization functionality next week, we are addressing a few outstanding issues in the product, including localizing a number of screens related to Genres and Focus.
We appreciate all the feedback we’ve heard from Early Access users around the world as we’ve tested this functionality. Ahead of our release next week we hope everyone can take some time to look over the list below, confirm the changes are working for you, and let us know about any issues, regressions, or questions that come up.
Your feedback and attention to detail on these changes will be hugely valuable for us, even if you run Roon in English.
For those on Windows having auto-update issues: We continue to investigate the issues that are happening around auto-update for Windows. If you take the auto-update and it puts you back to the build you updated from then you will need to update manually.

Changes
- Genres, periods, and instrumentation is properly localized in Focus (including the focus menus, selected items, and filtering functionality - note that Forms are not yet localized in Composition Focus)
- Genre names are localized properly when editing genre mapping
- Roon’s lock screen controls display localized names when playing to the mobile device
- Forms are localized in the Composer page’s Popular Forms recommendations
- Resolved some instability released to changing Roon’s localization settings
- Updated default languages for users that run in languages other than English
- Bug fix for Windows auto-update
Installation
Cores, remotes, and ARC installations already running earlyaccess should update automatically. If you need to reinstall, the latest earlyaccess builds can always be found at the following links.
