Roon 2.0 - Linux recommended kernel

Which Linux kernel is recommended for Roon 2.0?
Which kernel was used in the testing done by Roon Labs?

I don’t know what Roon Labs used. My own experience is very good with Ubuntu LTS, both 20 and 22.

I am on Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS (GNU/Linux 5.4.0-125-generic x86_64).
No problems with my Core since i started using Roon for two years ago…
When the latest and greatest arrives, i will see if it works, crashes or something in between.

If the upgrade goes without problems, i will not upgrade to a newer LTS version (jet).

Last official linux kernel is 5.19.x
I hope Roon has tested also on this one

Would you please help me by providing the answer to the question in my initial post?

Hi @DanielAvasilichioaei,

Please see the Roon KB below to answer all of your questions.

Thanks,
Wes

If I look at the Roon KB (“Latest Ubuntu or Arch distro”) and the Arch distro web page, then I deduce that it is ok to use the “5.19.9.arch1-1” kernel.
Correct?

Hi @DanielAvasilichioaei,

In reading the article again I believe this to be a solid deduction.

Wes

Thank you.
