Roon 2.57 and ARC 1.71 are Live!

Hey Everyone,

Today’s update is all about making Roon and Roon ARC feel more stable, responsive, and reliable in everyday use. We’ve reworked how ARC handles background activity to improve performance and reduce crashes, and we’ve fixed a couple of issues that could cause the app to crash when jumping into albums from Recently Played or Search, or when opening Focus in the Albums browser after changing your RoonServer.

On the desktop side, we’ve resolved a problem on macOS 26 (Tahoe) where playback to local audio devices could fail to initialize after a sample rate change. We’ve also addressed cases where audio analysis could stall on files with an excessive number of tags, and refreshed the Roon icon to match Apple’s new Liquid Glass design language on Tahoe.

This release also tightens up device discovery and library behavior. Roon should now more reliably discover multiple Loxone speakers over AirPlay 2, as well as Naim Atom devices. We’ve corrected cases where the wrong album version could be added to Listen Later, ensured non-library albums properly display their streaming service badge and Versions tab, and fixed issues where some artists couldn’t be removed from Listen Later or certain Qobuz widgets failed to load. Alongside these changes, you’ll find various other fixes and improvements throughout the experience.

As always, we appreciate your feedback and support!
