Roon and Foobar2000

I read about the possibility of using Roon and Foobar2000 together. Foobar2000 sees my UPNP DAC without USB connection. I would like to know your experiences or if you have any tutorials to recommend. I could load the plugins I want into Foobar and use them within Roon. Thank you

You can’t connect the two natively. If you wanted to connect to the DAC without using USB via Roon you could try the UPnP bridges out there. They will present to Roon as a Squeezebox device and can then forward to a UPnP device on the network. It is something of a hack but I can confirm they do work.

My Roon sees perfectly Atoll Dac without USB, it is Roon Ready and also Foobar2000 sees it because Atoll Dac is also Upnp.
but I’d like to know experiences of i tegration between Roon and Foobar2000.

I find this

What do you think about?

If it is HAF filters you are interested in, there are a number on the community who are using them via the convolution support available in roon DSP. I’m not sure I understand why or how you expect to do that via foobar2000? There are a lot of relevant threads on this forum if you search on “HAF”:

The HAF in Roon works by loading a convolution filter created by Thierry. HAF can do more things with extra software but not directly in Roon

I have clarified my post. But I doubt that will be of much use to the OP.

Oh yeah, I agree. I don’t really understand this quest. Some things just can’t be done with Roon or with Roon alone
