Describe the issue

Hello, i installed recently roon core on a dockers on a Ugreen Nas. Everything is fine using roon on the local network. The roon arc tab says all is ok and i'm able to reach roon arc on my iphone when i'm connect to internet through my home wifi network.
The issue is when i'm outside of my house. My iphone see the roon server (Online and ready) but it can't connect it.
The nas is directly connected to my internet box.
I was previously running the roon core on a mac in the same network configuration without any issue with roon arc.

Thanks
Mathieu

Welcome to the Roon community, @mathieu_Leclercq.

Since using Roon in a container isn’t an officially supported setup, I have moved your post to Tinkering, where other members of the community, including myself, may offer help.

For ARC to work outside your home network, you need to do one of two things;

  1. Setup port forwarding from router to NAS (and the container)
  2. Use Tailscale between the container and the mobile device

If you have moved Roon server, and ARC formerly worked, you probably need to update the forwarding rules in the router. The container should be configured to expose the correct port to the host, e.g., 55000.

Hi,
I add the port forwarding on my router and now it is ok.
Thanks
