Hey @Brad_Purdom1,

Thanks for writing in, it’s great to see you on the community again! Sorry to hear about your issues getting Arc up and running. The diagnostics you’ve provided suggest that UPnP is not properly configured on your router.

Please first try the following steps:

  • Try to enable UPnP/NATPMP in the web administration interface for the router directly upstream from your RoonServer
  • Try to manually open the port in your router’s port forwarding configuration
  • Make sure the IP/Port matches the Port listed in Roon → Settings → ARC
  • Check for any VPNs or Firewalls that might be interfering
  • Check if your modem is in Bridge mode

If you continue to experience difficulties, please tag the support team and include the following information:

  1. What is the make and model of your modem and router?
  2. Do you have any additional network hardware, like additional routers or managed switches?
  3. Who is your internet service provider and what is your geographic region?
  4. Is your Modem configured in Bridge Mode so that it operates only as a modem or do you have the ports forwarded on both?

I’m sorry, I thought I had included that information. It is a BWG320-505 used by ATT fiber. I live in Cleveland, OH. I use that for both the modem and the router and to my knowledge it does not have a way to enable UPnP/NATPMP. I’ve been trying to manually open the port and I’ve carefully followed the directions in the forums but it is not working. I have disabled my norton entirely. The roon core is on a sonictransporter operating system 2.8. I was able to get it to work on an earlier BWG modem/router but haven’t been able to make that happen on this one, which is their best currently available modem.

Hey @Brad_Purdom1,

Thanks for the update!

If you’re referring to your router firewall, I would suggest re-enabling it.

There is another option, using Tailscale, that has helped many users who weren’t able to adjust their port forwarding settings. Here’s more information:

Hope this helps! :+1:
