Roon ARC Reliability Issues in Car Usage (ref#US44SK)

1. Wifi->mobile network handover:
   Most of the time when I start ARC playback in my car, it’s in the front yard and the phone is still on wifi. If I start playback at this point, once the wifi falls our of reach, the playback will most often just hang. As a workaround, I now turn off wifi from my phone before starting ARC playback. I wish I didn’t have to do this.

An ARC reliability observation

I’ve been using ARC, largely successfully, since launch. As many of you know, I run Roon on my Synology NAS, where I also have Audio Station/DS Audio running alongside Roon as a secondary platform. My house is in a cell service shadow, and with DS Audio, I got into the habit of starting DS Audio on my phone on WiFi before leaving the house, so that I could be sure that I could get some music buffered and going from my driveway until I got cell signal again. I’ve had a theory for a while that this happens when you are a dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 network at home, and your cellular connection is also dual-stack. Is that at play in your case?
