Describe the issue

I am running the Roon server on a Mac Book Pro. The broadband is provided by EE. The EE router allows automatic configuration. UnPn is on. When I try and set up Roon ARC, I get the following error message: {
"ipv4_connectivity": {"status":"NetworkError","status_code":504,"error":"error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined"},
"external_ip": {"actual_external_ip":"2.aaa.bbb.ccc","actual_external_ipv6":"null","router_external_ip":"null"},
"natpmp_autoconfig": {"status":"NotFound"},
"upnp_autoconfig": {"server_ip":"192.168.1.254","found_upnp":true,"error":"Did not find UPnP service with WANIPConnection on network"}
}

Describe your network setup

EE Smart Hub. I don't this EE allows for static IP address. I also have two EE range extenders. I am sorry, however, that this description is pushing beyond the end of my technical knowledge. I have tried setting up a manual forwarding rule but without success.

hi there,

i had the same issue - to fix it I had to contact my ISP to disable cgNAT on my connection.
After they did that, no more issues.

Thank you very much. I see that EE does use cgNAT. There’s an article about it on Google. I’ll call them on Monday.

Alan.
