I totally want this as a feature since I have about 120,000 tracks in my library, but today I implemented a workaround:
- created playlist called “ARC Shuffle”
- started a shuffle all tracks on a remote in Roon
- went to queue and selected add all songs to playlist.
It added over 6,600 tracks to my playlist. - I ran a new shuffle all tracks then added the new results to the playlist.
That is a LOT OF RANDOMLY CHOSEN TRACKS! I can shuffle that playlist as well. Anyway, so far so good at work here. It is the exact same shuffle feature just saved and accessible via a Roon through the playlist function.
Give it a shot!
1 year since this suggestion popped up and still no implementation, this is in my eyes an essential feature that should have been there from day 1. It’s nice that we got Muse and all, but this takes less man hours and IMO was more sorely needed.

I believe it has just been added in the last version of ARC!
