No, Roon Bridge turns a computer into a Roon endpoint, very similar to a streamer that has Roon Ready code built in. As such, it only needs to be installed on the device you want to turn into an endpoint. It will then appear as an output device on the Roon Server.
You can also, should you wish, install Roon Bridge on any computer that has Roon installed on it only for the Roon Desktop UI (i.e. is used to control Roon but does not run Roon Server).
The only advantage of this is that when Roon Bridge is running (it can be configured to auto-start) the Roon Desktop Client (UI) does not have to be running for Roon to stream to audio devices attached to the computer.
This means that, for example, you can Run the desktop Roon Client, queue some music to an endpoint on that same computer and then shut down the Roon Client and the queued music will continue to play.
By constrast, without using Roon Bridge, you can run the Roon Desktop client, queue and play music but as soon as you close the Roon Client, the music will stop playing (because the Roon Endpoint no longer exists).
Whether or not this is important, or even makes a difference, to you, only you can say. But by choosing to install Roon Bridge, or not, you can decide which behaviour you want.
