Thanks, @Neil_Snyder, @Gerdy, I am going to request a diagnostics report from your machines and then review them to see if there is any pattern which might help our dev team to investigate this issue further.
Just to clarify, prior to the #1401 update this device was 100% working as expected?
Hello,
Same issue for me since update to 1401.
Roon remote on Mac mini Sonoma 14.4.1 or on Samsung S24 up to date for OS and app
Ronn server on NucleusPlus 1401
Impossible to listen on any of 3 HomePod mini nor Eversolo DMP-A8.
It worked fine before last Roon update,
Workaround works for HomePod not for EverSolo.
How do i send a diagnostics report. I use my roon remote app on my phone to stream via airplay to the eversolo dmp-a8. I have tried with my imac amd my samsung s9 ultra tablet with no success.
As long as your RoonServer device is online, diagnostic reports should upload automatically. The same is true for Roon Remotes. We’ve requested all the information we need, so no action is needed on your part but simply logging into Roon on an affected Remote sometime today at your convenience.
We’ve escalated this case to development and have a ticket for a fix. Thank you again for your reports.
Thank you for your report. We’ve escalated this case to development and have identified the problem - there’s a ticket in the works for a fix. We’ll post updates here as soon as they are available.
I have had the same issue since the update, your suggestion worked for me, just by moving the slider a bit the track plays and my Marantz shows the track and artist playing.
Thanks.
I have been using a ROCK instance on a NUC for over a year using AirPlay with no issues. In the last week, I have not been able to route music to my HomePods (a pair of original ones, plus a few Minis). The ROON desktop client says that the speakers are available and that music is playing, but there is no sound from the speakers. I have other Airplay compatible speakers that currently work fine with ROON, and the HomePods work ok when using any of Apple’s Airplay software (Apple Home, etc.). I have rebooted the ROCK server, the client, and the HomePods with no success. Any ideas would be appreciated.
I have similar problem of my HomePod mini. Roon remote shows it is playing, but the time always freezes at 0:00, no sound. This issue starts from roon server build 1401.

Describe the issue
I've been using an Airport Express to connect to Roon. It has never had any issues. After the latest software update, it is frequently disappearing as a device available to stream to. If I unplug it and replug it, it becomes available but disappears shortly after pausing or stopping music.
I have used an Airport Express 2. Gen via Airplay for a long time without problems. Since update to Build 1401 the Airport Express (AE) is visible and active in “Audio” tab as before but when starting a stream the stream doesn’t start to play (PLAY icon goes to PAUSE icon and then right back to PLAY icon). Only after restarting the Airport Express every single time, it would work again for one time, i.e. playing one stream. If I then switch to another album, it doesn’t work anymore.
I have already read about AE firmware issues in other threads. This AE has been running firmware 7.8.1 before the Roon update without problems, I tried downgrade to 7.6.9 but did not help, also tried to change IPv6 settings for Airport on/off etc. but nothing changed. Other endpoint continue to work without problems following the Roon update.
Any help would be much appreciated.
