Hello Roon Friends,
I use Roon at my office over a VPN running on a NAS at my house. For the most part, with both streaming and local files it is smooth sailing, working exactly as expected. Although there is one situation that is a bit annoying - I’m wondering if anyone else has found a way to deal with it.
So - I disconnect my laptop from an external monitor in my office (which provides ethernet and a USB connection to my DAC) to run around to meetings. When I return, my VPN connection is still functioning fine, Roon is showing all my content, but the local Audio Zone (my USB DAC) is missing unless I do a full restart of of the client app.
Any suggestions?
