Roon database reset without uninstalling

I am new to Roon. I am running Roon on a Synology DS918+ NAS and now that I understand Roon better I would like to reset and start again. Is there anyway to do this without having to uninstall Roon completely?

If your goal is to reset Roon Server and start with a new clean library, it can be done by stopping Roon Server in the Package Center and delete your database folders in the RoonServer shared folder (on DSM6) or in your during installation specified shared folder (DSM7).

If you want to be on the safe side, you can also create a new folder (like ā€œOld_RoonServer_Databaseā€) and move your current database folders to it.

These are the relevant folders, that need to be deleted/moved:

  • RoonServer
  • RAATServer
  • RoonGoer

When done, just start Roon Server again in the Package Center.

Iā€™m running Roon on my desktop computer so I can learn more about how to set it up to capture the metadata Iā€™ve been entering for years. So far Iā€™ve been experimenting with a small iTunes library which has a small subset of my music. How can I reset the Roon database to prepare for importing my large iTunes library?

I found a folder in my user Library folder: ~/Library/Roon

Thereā€™s five folders in there:
Cache
Database
Logs
Settings
Temp

Thanks in advance.
