and I’m 74 in two weeks time (I hope).
Hey @Karel_D_huyvetters,
We’ve looked into even viewer logs and it seems like Roon crashes due to the problem with your graphic card. In my previous post I asked you about GPU, but didn’t get an answer.
Since I don’t exactly know what graphic card your machine has - I suggest to try to update drivers for embedded (into your CPU) graphic card first - https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html
And if your machine also has an external graphic card ( Nvidia or AMD) you should check manufacturers website for the latest driver:
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
https://www.amd.com/en/support

Vova
Thank you very much, Vova. I didn’t now what GPU stood for, so I went blank on that one. I will do as told tomorrow, it’s late already. I hope that solves it. Didn’t hear from Kevin, but got a message that my credit card could not be charged. Hope the trial period can be slightly extended while we sort this out. See you soon.
Hello, Vova. This morning, I updated the settings of the AMD Radeon adapter and lo and behold: Roon is alive and kicking on my PC! It really was that simple. Thanks for all the help. I will now proceed to get a lifetime subscription. What I appreciate most is the equalizer: I have a hearing problem and need hearing aids, but also equalizing to be able to hear treble tones. It works flawlessly on every output.
So a big thank you for your very efficient and friendly help to an old new member of the Roon family!
Karel
Seeing the tiny photo on my phone, so even smaller, I thought Santa or one of his elves was joining up! Appropriate time of year…
