Thanks, but I didn’t reply the first time because I don’t use Chrome. I use Safari, so I don’t really see the point of trying it unless I plan to switch and not care about any issues with Safari. But that’s not the case.
It looks to me that your issue may lie there. Even if they don’t play the browser may be taking control of the audio functionality of your iPad in preparation for playback of those elements.
I think you are on to something with this comment. My roon remotes on mac desktops and laptops pause my music automatically when my iPhone rings. There is some system level interaction between the audio demands of various sources. It really sounds like you are getting stuck in that quagmire.
Just tried an experiment.
Roon playing on two iPads, Safari on one and FireFox on the other, both with no auto-play.
FoxNews doesn’t disrupt sound, on neither Safari nor Firefox.
While staying in the FoxNews website,I looped both queues (simultaneously, not that that should matter) for over an hour without any problems.
So, still looks like it’s something in your environment. WiFi, maybe?
