Roon Filter Setting relate to DAC's hardware filter settings?

On my DAC (ESS based) I prefer Minimum Phase filter (sometimes I prefer fast Linear). Within Muse I usually activate sample rate converson / Power of 2. But like that, I have to select a filter… So now I have 2 filters activated, correct? Would a future software update make sense, being able to NOT use any additional filter, since most DACs already have built-in filters? Or is it not possible because the upsampling feature “demands” the use of a specific filter?
Which setting within Muse would fit best to my Minimum Phase setting on my DAC?
I currently have:
DAC (ESS based): Minimum Phase
Muse: Precise, Linear Phase / Max PCM rate, Power of 2
Any recommendations? And why?

How do the filter settings within Roon relate to hardware filter settings within respective DACs?

Do I set the same filter type in Roon as in the hardware? Or what is recommended?

Hi @Jeroen_Jacobs,

Is this new topic related your previous?

Yes; I could not find it anymore, so I wrote a 2nd time. I did find a solution in the meantime. Thanks. The solution that works for me is set my DAC (Schiit) to Non-oversampling mode. Then choose one of the filter types within Roon as well as Power of 2 setting. That sounds wonderful.
Another DAC I am using is Delta Sigma type, and I decided to not use sample rate conversion with that one.

I’ve merged the two topics to keep all the history together.
