Another benefit of Nugs integration would be album identification. I buy a lot of my music from Nugs, yet Roon lists every show as “Unidentified”. Would be awesome if Roon could ID the shows, pull in descriptions (Bruce) and/or write-ups (White Stripes) where available, etc.
it would be amazing if you could stream play.nugs.net (their streaming service) via Roon either as a service along the lines of Tidal or as an internet radio service. Thx!
have we gotten a status or perspective on this from Roon? i think integrating nugs.net could substantially increase their subscriber base, or at a minimum keep current subscribers inside the platform vs using different apps for nugs.net like i do
Roon team — please, please, please work with the Nugs team to integrate both nugs.net and LivePhish into Roon.
I might be an outlier here, but I’m finding it harder to justify using Roon these days. With Qobuz and Tidal Connect making it easy to stream directly to devices, and most streamers now able to load files from a personal library, I sometimes wonder: what’s the real advantage of sticking with Roon?
It becomes even more frustrating having to switch between streaming sources just to use both Roon and Nugs. I’m not sure what it would take to make integration happen, but I truly think there’s enough demand to get the ball rolling. While you’re at it, Spotify and Apple Music support would also be fantastic.
Bottom line: give us the choice of which services to add — it would make Roon so much more valuable.
