Roon is constantly having playback issue with sonos amp1

so i was told how perfectly is Sonos amp1 supported by roon,
i just plugged in device… and cant make it work…
Even it was detected/ enabled within setup, the playback is constantly saying “roon lost control of the audio device…”

its not a connectivity issue - its connected via ethernet.

any idea?

Is the Sonos firmware up to date? This happened frequently about a year ago and was fixed with Sonos firmware 1.3 update.

upgraded firmware and all works fine! appreciate.

still no idea how to find my sonos firmware, cant spot it in the app ;/ any idea?

Sorry, not a Sonos user. My „wisdom“ here came from searching the forum because I had read about many similar-looking issues before.

I’m a wayback sonos user so this is a suggestion from way back look at the SMB protocol you need smb 1 enabled (with windows the default setting is smb2 till smb3)
