Roon + LineageOS

Just wondering if anyone is using LineageOS successfully with their Roon controller? I have a dedicated Samsung S5e tablet (Android 11) for Roon which always crashes after a while of the app being open, and was thinking about bringing it more up to date with LineageOS. Am assuming it will be fine, but would be good to hear from anyone who has it working. Thanks!

Edit: I should say that every other Android device in the household works fine with Roon so I’ve long since given up trying tweaks to fix the issue - I’m hoping a newer version of Android might take care of it.

Answering my own question here for others - LineageOS v. 22 (Android 15) appears to be working fine for me with Roon. Now I just need to see if it fixes the stability issues on this device!

I have a Asus Zenfone 8 with LineageOS 23 (Android 16, no GAPPS) running. Both roon Apps (Roon remote and ARC) are working.

Only issue I have is the apps contacting servers they shouldn’t (firebase and other google servers).

So I have to put my firewall to a halt when starting Roon app and starting it again shortly afterwards.

Annoying and I hope the people at Roon will someday develop an app that does not rely on crappy google “services”.

I should just add, for the benefit of others, that it does indeed appear to have fixed the issues I was having with Roon on this device.
