Screen sharing is off.

Two different DACs plugged directly into Mac mini with their own USB cable.

Network and firewall are not part of this equation. See point above.

Storage issue is unlikely as all my content is connected via thunderbolt to Mac mini. See my comments earlier regarding hidef video.

Cables - highly doubtful that I have 2 USB cables from 2 different vendors go bad at the same exact time

I may have missed it. How do I transfer license to the MacBook Pro to redo it as my core?

If you install there and sign in the MBP as your Core, you’ll be prompted to move the license over.

Then later, you can just log back into the Mac Mini and move the license back.
