None of my compilations have an albumartist entry and they’re all treated appropriately.

Judging from this reply, perhaps an explicit albumartist entry of “Various Artists” might help?

I hear you, but I’ve got over 1000 other compilation albums and not one is tagged any differently to what you see above, yet they’re all treated correctly by Roon, whether identified or not. I’ve removed this album, cleaned up library and then reintroduced it in the hope that Roon would correct its previous classification, but it hasn’t.

I’d like to understand what’s leading to this behaviour rather than implementing a workaround that hasn’t been needed on any other compilation album I’ve imported.
