I have no idea what any of this means. I ran the test from my Dell XPS 15, Mac Mini (late 2014), and Nuc Box G5 and got all OKâs. I hope this means there will be no problems with my AT&T U-Verse gateway setup.

This is the relevant part of the anouncement.
If your ISP supports IPV6, Roon will now function just as most software on your network. If your ISP doesnât support IPV6, nothing changes.
You are using a âunique localâ IPv6 address on your FritzBox. This address can only be used locally in your subnet. It is not an official provider assigned IPv6 address. That means your Fritzbox is doing NAT on IPv6 too. This breaks IPv6 globally if you are not doing NAT.

THX, I donât use NAT and Port Forward is not activated.
This is the solution that I have activated (German):
When doing the ipv6 test on my home network I get a 10/10 result. This was to be expected as the Router is configured for native IPv6 connection. The router has both IPv4 and IPv6 external addresses.
Doing the same test on the mobile network from my cell phone, I get a 0/10 (Vodafone.de, 5G Network) indicating that on the mobile network thereâs only IP v4 available.
ARC works fine at the moment. Does the change announced by Roon mean, that it wonât work any longer in the future, because the mobile network doesnât support IPv6 and therefore doesnât find the RoonServer anymore, which does support and use IPv6?
Do I have to disable IPv6 on my router to make it work again? This would be rather unfortunate!
Itâs my understanding, that this change also affects Roon devices on your home network, i.e. if IPv6 is enabled on your home network but not all Roon devices (Server, Remotes, Endpoints) use IPv6 you might run into issues like Remote not finding server, server not finding endpoints etc.
i think this happens because as a default setting, the FritzBox only assings ipv6 dns adresses via dhcpv6.
This can be changed in settings:
home network > network > network settings > ipv6 settings > dhcpv6 server
There are options to assing dns only (default), dns + ipv6 prefix, dns + ipv6 prefix + ipv6 adress. with either of the last two adresses, you also get GUA ( global unique adress) for local devices using the ipv6 prefix provided by the isp.
I donât know though, whether this would be necessary for Roon to work in the future or if itâs sufficent for all devices to have local unique adresses.
It also breaks other things. 0/10 software and the first thing I cancel (because they try to sneak it into new contracts for an additional fee after a trial period)
