Roon Nucleus Availability in UK?

Hi
Apologies if I had missed an update but Nucleus One and Titan still not available to purchase in the UK (or Europe I assume)
Feels like these have been launched for a while now and there dont even seem to be any old Nucleus available.
Really keen to get one but only offering shipping to the US…

Hello you guys and gals in Roon…

Have you any update regarding Nucleus One release in the European Union please?

An estimated date will suffice :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Many thanks

Is there anything else we should purchase in the meantime?

I’m running Roon on Unraid at the moment but the music server is a critical service I’d like to isolate from other issues that occur from tinkering.

„Should“ I don’t know. If what you have works, there’s no need to rush it. Or you could buy a current NUC, possibly fanless, and install ROCK, which would give you more or less the same as a Nucleus. Or one of the new Mac Mini M4 models, for instance; the price of the base model is pretty good and they are fast.

Buy a NUC and install dietpi on it, which comes with a script to install Roon.
You don’t need a nucleus.

Still not available in the UK. See this post and the subsequent ones, particularly the * note: European distribution doesn’t include the UK. Stay tuned for UK availability news soon..

I was going to get a Nucleus One to replace my old 2012 Mac Mini but I got sick of waiting so I bought the M2 Mac Mini which was the current model at the time. UK customers have waited so long that the M2 Mac Mini has been superseded by the M4 and still no Roon Nucleus for the UK.

No regrets though. My headless Mac Mini runs Roon Server flawlessly as did my old one.

Sorry, but I getting impatient now after all the hype and reviews and we are still waiting.
I am seriously thinking of ending my Roon subscription as we pay the same (more actually in the UK than US) but are way behind on getting stuff. I know it means losing out. At least thank you for keeping us up to date.

Just a thought. I have a property in Spain. If I pre-order there and have it delivered there will a Nucleus or titan work in the UK and Spain (obviously a different mains lead I tend to replace with Russ Andrews or Audioquest anyway)?

A standard cable with a c7 plug at one end and a UK mains plug at the other is all you need, IMO…

Edit: actually, scratch that advice - I suspect that the wall-wart power supply that comes with the Nucleus One or Titan will be delivered with a Europlug mains plug - and it is not interchangeable.

I just pre-ordered Nucleus One in the UK, seems to come via Henley Audio who have provided good customer service to me in the past.

The Roon UK webshop now appears to be up and running to serve UK customers…

The prices on the UK store in comparison to the US store are interesting.

The Nucleus One costs £599 (VAT included) in the UK in comparison to $499 (excluding sales tax) in the US. So, in the UK we are likely paying about 30% more (assuming £1=$1.20 and 11% total sales tax in the US).

However, for the Nucleus Titan, the price in the US is $3999 (excluding sales tax) but the price in the UK is £3899. Thus, making the same assumptions about exchange rates and US sales tax, for the Titan, in the UK we are only paying about 5.5% more than in the US.

Does that make the Titan better value in the UK? Not from where I am standing but those seriously interested in the Titan may feel differently.

Edit: I should say that even the ‘UK surcharge’ for the Nucleus One falls in to the ‘Normal for the UK’ range.

Blimey… Nearly 4k for what?

Has anyone ordered one in the UK? (Titan)
