There is a bit of gouging going on in both directions! But yes the UK is often referred to as treasure island by foreign manufactures. A much bigger markup than the 20% VAT being applied in a lot of cases……
How so? It’s USD 599.99 (without VAT) in Roon‘s US store as far as I can see, which is ~445 GBP as of today. (Which would work out as 534 GBP incl. 20% VAT)
I know, but that doesn’t change that nominal US prices don’t include VAT and UK prices do, and how high the VAT is in a given country isn’t Roon’s problem.
you should worry we have tariffs, luxury goods surcharge and VAT the old Nucleus was double the US price here in South Africa. I suspect NUC don’t count as luxury
