Roon Nucleus video output question

Previously I was running Roon on an old Dell mini computer - I used a USB to connect to my old Oppo BD player for 5.1 audio, wifi to connect 2 channel audio to a PS Audio Airlens and the monitor output to a Sony TV. I used a $30 wireless Logitech keyboard with a built in touchpad as a remote, which worked great for my purposes.

Well, I moved about 6 months ago and I never have found the mini-computer after unpacking. I was looking at the $500 Nucleus as a replacement but noticed it has no video output. I do NOT want to use my phone or a tablet as a control, and I like the display on my TV.

Will the Nucleus allow me to Chromecast the video signal to my TV and still use my wireless keyboard while keeping all the other audio connections? I will also be using a Roon compatible Sony ES receiver in another part of the house but understand that the software will see it as another endpoint,

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Karl

No, the Nucleus has no video output (other than basic text status messages).

It does allow Chromecasting to a TV, but this is only a „now playing“ info screen, not a control interface.

However, you can use any PC as a control device for the Nucleus, and you can connect this PC to a keyboard and TV. In this configuration, you would just outsource the Roon Server functionality to the Nucleus instead of running the server directly on the PC. (Which may or may not be beneficial for you)

Awesome, thanks for the advice. I will start looking for some sort of mini PC or Mac Mini.
