I’m new to ROON and as a first post I thought to give you a peak at my setup.
Because I had already a NUC D54250WYKH in use since 2014, I decided to use this machine.
It has
- 16Gb of memory (2x8Gb)
- Intel SSD of 120Gb (SSDMCEAW120A4D)
- 500 Gb harddrive ( Western Digital WD5000BPKX)
It runs Windows 10 Home version 1903 and I use it gather info from my weatherstation 24/7
My music database is on a Synology DS716+ NAS. (ca 7000 tracks)
I communicate with the computer via Real VNC .
ROON and the weatherprogram runs as service under Firedaemon because I don’t want to change windows so a user can login automatically without a password.
When the computer restarts, both programs starting without the login of a user.
At the moment I find this a good solution for me.
As endpoint I have Bluesound Node 2i connected to a Cambridge Audio Azur 851D (2016)
speakers : B&W 804 (1992)
amplifier : Rotel RB-1080 (2007)
preamplifier : Rotel RC-1070 (2007)
Turntable : Rega RP6 (2017
