Roon on Synology/Docker - Yellow Dot after Server Update

Hi. I changed from roon on NAS to a container installation on my DS723+. Everything works fine.

Yesterday i got an Server Update over my Roon App. Today i recogniced a warning and that the green dot in the container section turned to a yellow one.

In fact there is no problem running roon.

I am just interested in understanding what is happening. My idea is that the container recognise a difference between the version of the roon server image and the version in the container?

Can anybody explane this? I have no problem… i am just interested in learning what happens.

It’s just a cosmetic bug - they are checking for the wrong program running in their checking logic; Roon is still running fine. It’s all explained here:

That confirms it. Look at the process list — there's ./RoonServer.exe running (a…longside RAATServer.exe, RoonAppliance.exe, the watchdog, etc.), but there is no process anywhere with RoonServer.dll in its cmdline. The healthcheck greps for RoonServer.dll, the actual binary is RoonServer.exe, so the grep can never match — it's not a startup race, not a config problem, not anything wrong with your setup. It's a genuine bug in the healthcheck baked into that Dockerfile: whoever wrote it assumed the process would be invoked as RoonServer.dll (maybe true in an earlier internal build, or copied from a different Roon component), but the actual shipped executable is .exe. So, not a real issue. I assume they will do something to fix in the near future.
