Roon on Synology does not update the library automatically, again you have to use force rescan.

How is yours set up?

I originally had Roon Server on an SSD inside DS1019+ and music library resides there as well in distinct folders (MP3, FLAC, High-Res)

Then, due to some performance issues, I moved to Roon ROCK on a NUC and the NAS is still the library source. It’s been this way now for about ten months.

In both scenarios Roon updates automatically when anything in the library is added/revised. But it never was immediate. It could be several minutes to an hour or so before seeing it in Roon app. Aside from early on troubleshooting I’ve never had use force scan.

I switched to a quick Nuc- the library update is now practically immediate- I recommend (Intel i5-124 Regards Adrian Frużyński
