I’m using Roon for 4 years. I love it, BUT I’m seriously considering letting it go since pricing has gone thorough the roof… Roon/Roof hmm?!?
For eg. for a 15% more you can get Volumio – Rivo hardware & software - lifetime
If something else fits your needs better, use that

I’ve decided to go lifetime last month before the current price increase went into effect. Saved me a lot of money compared to the same offering now.

If something else meets your needs, use it.
I can offer tales of the myriad music players and music taggers I have currently installed/paid for.
Some meet different needs.
They are all awful with box sets.
I have considered it, but didn’t really had the funds…

A first ever price increase of $2.50 per month doesn’t seem like “through the roof.”

As always it depends on the point of the view… It was always very expensive for me, and I’m talking on lifetime subscription prices

Over 5 years, the price increase for lifetime is also 2.50 a month
If you wanted lifetime, you should have bought it when it was $500 or $700. I bought one of each.
