Not a big deal, but was wondering why Roon Remote in Dynamic Island on iPhone doesn’t show the fancy ”dynamic bars” on the right? There’s just static dots in its place. Roon Arc, on the other hand, works like other music apps and show the bars.
Because Roon Remote is not a native iOS app, I seem to recall. All the base applications are built on a standard shared platform
I’d say it’s not so much about it being a “native iOS app” (which it is), as much as the Roon remote sends audio to external audio sources, therefore the audio is not playing on the iPhone. Arc is different as it’s an endpoint and the phone is actually decoding the audio thus being able to analyze it and display the analyzer graph.
You have to play through the iPhone itself in order to show I believe. Basically using your phone as an endpoint. But I’ll verify it.
Exactly this
Just tried it. It will show the visualizer if you set the endpoint to the iPhone. Look at the image I sent .
Yes, I tried it myself, and it all makes sense to me now of course!
