Roon Rock/core Intel NUC won't power up - What are my options

@BlackJack - are you saying that If I changed to UEFI boot mode then I would need a fresh install of Rock on a new NUC? Could I not just change the BIOS boot mode setting in the new NUC to UEFI again, or is it more complicated than that?

I’m saying that the boot media is formated differently for legacy and UEFI boot and that you need to reinstall if the hardware requires a change in this regard (old NUC with legacy boot enabled and new replacement NUC with UEFI [and not possible to change to legacy anymore]).

Until you both reminded me I had forgotten that I did have to change the BIOS settings from a legacy boot (MBT?) to UEFI boot before I installed Rock. I can now remember doing this back in 2019, but I can’t remember why the change was necessary.

I don’t know what you try to say here. Roon introduced UEFI boot support in late 2022 and not 2019 (back then legacy boot was still the only supported option). RoonOS (Nucleus / ROCK) build 254 production is live!
