Roon running on Synology Container Manager. Should I update?

Running Roon on Container Manager on my DS920+. Absolutely fantastic. Essentially no problems at all for several years!! I just saw this update notice. Is there any rational for doing this update?? ( could be rather old)

If you are running with no problems, I suggest you don’t update.

I always update, no problems so far…

Based on the screenshot, your current docker image is a version that Steef released three years ago. The “new” version that Container Manager is offering you was created by Steef about a year ago. It’s the update from debian 11 to debian 12.

If you update the image, you’d still need to update your actual container.

If everything is working for you, I’d suggest you just leave it alone. It’s not even clear that upgrading to the version of debian 12 that Steef used a year ago is going to give you a better security profile that what you’re on now - the debian 12 version Steef used had many security fixes over the following year.
